About Sammie
Education
Samantha earned her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nazareth College and Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the State University of New York at Geneseo located in Rochester, New York.
She is currently licensed in South Carolina and holds a
National Certificate of Clinical Competence from the
American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Clinical Experience
With over a decade of clinical experience Samantha has had the opportunity to work in all aspects of her field with clients across all age groups. She has worked in in New York, Georgia, and South Carolina. She has worked at level 1 trauma centers and several community hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient rehabilitation centers. She also has worked in a post-acute neonatal treatment center as well as a school for the deaf and the blind. She has experience in early intervention, home health, neurology outpatient therapies.
After privately serving the Grand Stand area for the last six years, Samantha was nominated, voted and awarded The Sun News,
"Best of the Beach Award" for Speech Therapy 2024.
Therapeutic Approach
Samantha finds tremendous joy in working with newborns, toddlers, primary school-age children and adolescents. Her passion stems from the connection she makes with the children and seeing her patients progress and grow. She is passionate about making a difference in each child’s life. As a mother, she understands the importance of speech and language development in early childhood. She has achieved immense success by utilizing a nurturing, holistic, child-lead approach.
Samantha practices as a neurodivergent affirming Speech Language Pathologist. She is a NLA Registered and Trained Clinician in Gestalt Language Processing.
